Brief History
Brothers Julian and Jesse Howatt grew up on PEI in a family with many generations of farmers. During their university studies in urban planning, the brothers developed an interest in innovative and sustainable urban agriculture. In 2013 they founded Local by Atta with the goal of strengthening food security in the Greater Moncton Area by providing healthy, pesticide-free leafy greens year-round. More than a decade later, Julian & Jesse are proud to be supplying their greens in Moncton and in many communities throughout the Maritimes.
