Ferme Nature’s Route Farm

**Nature’s Route Farm** grows a wide variety of organic vegetables with dedication, hard work, and strong community support. With approximately 70 acres in organic production, including more than 20 acres of organic vegetables, the farm is supported by a small but committed team of local staff, managers, and seasonal agricultural workers from Mexico. Through dedicated workers, improved crop rotations, mechanized weed management, strong farmers’ markets, and loyal customers, Nature’s Route Farm continues to produce high-quality organic vegetables while growing alongside its community.

Brief History

Brief History

Nature’s Route Farm began in 2007 when Kent and Ruth Coates turned their dream of farm life into reality. What started with three sheep, a few laying hens, 1.2 acres of mixed vegetables, and a young family has grown into a certified organic farm serving communities across the region. After leaving his engineering career in 2006, Kent followed his passion for agriculture full time, growing fresh, great-tasting vegetables on a beautiful farm overlooking the New Brunswick and Nova Scotia border. Over the years, the farm evolved from livestock and small-scale production to a strong focus on organic vegetables.Today, Nature’s Route Farm offers seasonal produce all year long, from spinach, cucumbers, tomatoes, broccoli, and peppers during the growing season to carrots, potatoes, beets, rutabaga, and parsnips available year-round. Through farmers’ markets, wholesale, and online sales, the farm continues to provide fresh, organic food grown with care.
