Broadfork Farm
We carefully grow vegetables, herbs, melons, and cut flowers on a small area of approximately **1 acre per year**. This approach allows us to produce responsibly while prioritizing quality, freshness, and respect for the soil. Each year, this growing area is moved around the farm through a rotation system with **3 to 4 acres of cover crops and green manure crops**. We use oats, rye, clover, and forage peas to naturally nourish the soil, improve its structure, encourage biodiversity, and maintain long-term fertility. Our method is based on a simple balance: growing less, but growing better, while taking care of the soil that allows us to produce our crops.
